I read a post recently about Infinity Dish in which they are requiring their employees to not only exercise but participate in corporate events that promotes well being. These events range from fun runs to riding public transportation as incentives. They are not only a great idea for health purposes, but according to the article they help enhance team spirit within the company.
There are a lot of people out there who despise their jobs. They often tell me, I can’t stand that co-worker or my boss is on my case again. I think that what a lot of companies are doing now with these “health & wellness” programs really make a difference in the creating a good atmosphere to work in. Through sponsored events co-workers are forced, so to speak, to work in teams and in tandem towards a specific goal. This partnership can bridge any gap or disagreements co-workers may have with one another.
I think that because a lot of people are looking for jobs out there, this type of program is one to keep an eye on if you are looking for a position. Most times, a health & wellness program is a great indicator to how a company is doing overall, especially if you plan to stay there for the long haul. For more information on this company check out the official Infinity Dish Twitter account.
