Nostalgia #82: MTV - Manila Kingpin-The Asiong Salonga Story

I guess you know the movie Asiong Salonga or have heard about it in the past. The movie "Manila Kingpin - The Asiong Salonga Story" is a remake of the 1961 film which starred Former President Joseph Estrada.

This is the MTV of Manila Kingpin performed by Ely Buendia, the official entry for Metro Manila Film Festival 2011. The movie was shot entirely in black and white that will take you back to the Asiong's era in 40s and 50s decades. In this film, Jeorge "ER" Estregan, playing the role of Asiong Salonga, said that there are scenes here that were never seen before in the old movie.




I think that the director did a great job in the film and you shouldn't miss this one. A must-see movie of the year!

    I love Lea Salonga as a singer! Di ko ata to alam sis wahhhh, ala na ako sa circulation ng songs..
